NEWSLETTER | Spring
2008
Welcome to the latest spring edition of the Elizabeth Laser and Cosmetic Medicine Newsletter. This is the time of year we all start to think about looking good for summer.
Ten years on and we are still impressed with the way the
field of cosmetic medicine changes itself. More and younger
patients are choosing less invasive procedures, with minimal
recovery time, to improve their appearance.
In 1998, when we were in our first year, the issue was
whether Erbium or CO2 lasers were the best for facial
resurfacing. Photorejuvenation, with its minimal
downtime became more and more popular replacing the need for
resurfacing for many patients. The most recent innovation is
fractionated resurfacing. Not only is healing time shortened
considerably, but Pixel Perfect also comes with a lower risk
of complications, as compared to traditional laser skin
resurfacing.
In America there has been a 750 percent increase in
non-invasive procedures over the last ten years. Australia
has also seen similar increases in these procedures. Botox
is our most popular treatment, with hyaluronic acid such as
Juvederm and Restylane coming a close second. There are now
newer products, such as the longer lasting Radiesse and products
for facial contouring like Sculptra.
The Elizabeth Laser and Cosmetic Centre offers a full range
of filler products. Call 9929 2566 for an appointment or

With summer fast approaching it is important to remember to protect your skin from the harsh sun. Remember before you go out, apply your sunscreen, put on your hat and avoid excessive exposure between 10am and 3pm, as this is when you are most likely to get burnt.
Don’t forget your sunscreen on overcast days too, you can still get burnt. |

Many people ask regarding the parking in
North Sydney.
Meter parking is available in McLaren St and
Miller St. In Ridge St, one block away there is a council
carpark quite reasonably priced.
We also find that parking
away from the centre of North Sydney towards the North
Sydney Oval is easier.
Please remember if you need the meter
topped up give your car details to our receptionist who will
be happy to put more money in at no cost to you. |
